On the Israeli–American War Against Iran

The war against Iran launched yesterday by Israel and the United States marks a dangerous escalation in the Middle East, threatening to engulf the entire region in deeper instability, destruction, and wider conflict. This assault does not stand alone. It follows the devastation of Gaza and the continued expansion in the West Bank, sustained by political and military backing that has normalized impunity and collective punishment.

This war is not about protecting human rights, supporting the Iranian people, preventing nuclear proliferation, or defending security. Such claims are political justification for aggression. What we are witnessing is the deliberate use of overwhelming military force to assert dominance, reshape regional power balances, and reinforce global influence at the expense of civilian lives.

For decades, the peoples of this region — in Iraq, Yemen, Sudan, Syria, Lebanon, and above all Palestine — have paid the price for geopolitical rivalries and hegemonic ambitions. War has been imposed as a permanent condition. This must end.

Iran is now the latest battlefield in a broader struggle for power. Yet the future of Iran belongs to its people alone. It is not for Netanyahu, not for Trump, and not for any foreign government to determine Iran’s political destiny or exploit its people’s suffering to advance their own agendas.

We stand unequivocally with the people of Iran — with their children facing bombardment, with their women and men demanding dignity, and with their youth striving for freedom and peace.

We reaffirm our solidarity with all peoples resisting war, occupation, and domination.
